Bridget will develop a treatment plan to address your individual requirements using the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element Acupuncture. A full traditional diagnosis and first treatment may require 1-2 hours. Follow ups 30 minutes – 1 hour.

On your first visit your health history is noted. There may be some palpation (touch), massage (tui na), or checks on mobilitiy and range of movement. The acupuncture treatment then involves selection and insertion of very fine needles into specific areas of the body and should not be painful. Usually people feel relaxed, a little tired or sometimes quite revitalised following a treatment. If required, cupping, moxibustion, gua sha or tuina may also be used.

Part of your service may include advice on the types of foods, exercise and work that might be best suited for your type. Bridget is also a qualified yoga teacher, so aspects of this practice may be included – for example pranayama (breathing) asana (postures) or meditation (relaxed awareness) exercises.

If you would like to discuss any aspect of your health situation further and assess if acupuncture or a wellness package might produce the results you need, contact Bridget for a free confidential assessment and consultation. I know that you will leave feeling better than you arrived.
